Bringing my rottweiler to raleigh in the spring. Current living place doesnt allow dogs. Let me know what you have. Preferably a place with own bathroom and 3 or less people total in the apt/house

that could be difficult to find if you don't want to break the rules. A lot of places don't allow rotty's

he's the most chill and laid back dog ive ever owned. I have a pit also who's fucking vicious as hell, but he's not the one im bringing. And the rottweiler is only 3-4 months old. its funny, the pit is smaller but dominates the rottweiler even though he's bigger.[Edited on December 3, 2007 at 1:48 PM. Reason : x]

Doesn't matter how chill the rottie is, breed restrictive legislature is rampant here.

thats my pit. My rotty is the most laid back chill dog ive ever owned. Never barks, never bites, and is always obedient. Smart dog too. learned to sit at a very early age. Fetches, and when it comes to food, he'll wait for you to come to him. my pitbull on the other hand. is mean as hell. whenever the rottweiler is eating, he'll come over and take over his food and if the rotty opposes him, he'll bite the shit out of him.... etc. Thats why im bringing my rotty to Raleigh, I would never imagine to bring my pitt over. And plus, this is a purebred rottweiler. Cost me 900, and that was only because i knew the breeders. I say this, because my parents dont exactly give him the best attention ever. They prefer the pitt, because they're interested in a guard dog, and given the rottys attitude vs the Pitt, they prefer the pit.

Has it ever been around cats? I own my place and don't necessarily mind animals but my girlfriend has an older cat and I can't have any dogs in here that would chase it. I have a beagle hound mix that pretty much ignores the cat exists and thats the only way another dog could come here.I have a fence halfway up around the back, and will complete it as soon as my dispute with the HOA is resolved. /]

At 3-4 months he's just a little puppy and at worst will want to play with the cat. That's young enough that the cat can give him a couple of claws to the nose and he'll respect it forever (my german shepherd was a complete wuss with the cat, she'd let him beat up on her and then try to lick him). The bigger concern is the level of house/crate training.
