From what I hear, if you're not in mechanical or aero, it helps a lot. And if you're in one of those two majors but want a refresher in all the topics we've taken, then its beneficial. I've heard of many who took the FE their junior year and didnt take 490, and passed on the general sections.

Yes, that class is very beneficial for the FE. If you go every week and work the problems for each topic, you should do very well on the exam.

I had planned on studying on my own, but signed up for the class anyways. As the semester went on, the studying kept getting pushed off and by the time the exam came . . . the only studying I had done was in the class.
