so apparently last time I did laundry i've misplaced my baggie of ALL of the plastic inserts into the collar for button up shirts.now this is detremental to my wardrobe, effectively eliminating 80% of my regular wear clothes.i know that they are all shapes and lengths, but anyone know of a place to get replacements, short of say going to j.crew and stealing a bunch?prlly 90% j.crew, 10% polo.. can't say as to ive ever seen at either of these stores the ability to purchase these boogers on their own.looking for ~30 pairs...f0ck... HALP!

i bought some from men's warehouse several years ago. They came in a little plastic jar and there were several different lengths in the package.
12/3/2007 9:59:21 AM
5^ Those ones from amazon cost $5 plus $6 for shipping. Collar stays cost $9 at Brooks Bros.
12/3/2007 10:04:34 AM
Eh, I just googled it and posted a sample link. I'm not going to go through the trouble to find the cheapest deal for him. He's a big boy - I think he can do that himself.
12/3/2007 10:05:54 AM

12/3/2007 10:51:13 AM

staves is the plural of staff--which doesn't seem to describe collar stays very well...
12/3/2007 1:29:43 PM
go to a dry cleaner and ask if you can have some...you can even say "i'll buy them from you if you cant give them to me"...either they will charge you like 2 bucks and give you a handfull, or they will just give them to you...they come in a small little box with like 1000 in a box
12/3/2007 1:32:23 PM
Yeah, google doesn't seem to know anything about "staves"
12/3/2007 1:33:59 PM
seriously...i was a manager at a dry cleaner once...just go up there and ask...you are not the first person thats ever needed these things
12/3/2007 1:35:39 PM

they're called stays in the US and bones in the UK/europe
12/3/2007 2:19:54 PM
How did you manage to lose your collar stays? I keep all of mine paired up and then put them right back in the shirt as soon as I hang it up, but that's just me.You should be able to find these things at virtually any men's store or any place that sells suits.
