i still remember using the_drew's bbs back in the dizzay

I remember the first BBS I logged into...using a 300 baud modem (7E1)...and nothing but barebones text terminal emulation. Not even formal VT100. This was in high school, by the way.

remember when you could look in the back pages of those community newspapers ("the weekly shopper" or something like that) and see all the bbs' listed there

the incoming class will have been born after the Berlin Wall fell.

I know I've said this before, but I remember growing up in the '80s...my teen years, as a matter of fact (born in '71).

And there are kids on this site that don't remember what the world was like in the days of the Soviet Union.

My favorite is this summer when I was working and I asked the kids if they knew of Hanson...then I realized, they weren't born until after Hanson and come and gone

Our generation's children won't know what VHS or cassette tapes are

Things like that get kinda scary to think about.

My sisters also didn't know what A-side/B-side meant when referring to music.
