I couldn't attend Fall semester for reasons beyond my control. I had previously e-mailed my adviser but he didn't provide much help. Now my NCSU email account was deleted and he isn't answering e-mails from my non-ncsu email accounts. I cannot contact him by telephone either.

How do I go about re-enrolling?

hmmm..

this happened to me.

i broke my leg 2 days before the semester started. i contacted my profs and told them

and they backed me when i had to prove i didnt even goto 1 day of class.

but i dont remember my account being disabled. because i think i just added classes like normal when the next semester started.

this was like 3 years ago, dont remember much because i was on the medication as i was handling this.

You need to go to the Dean's office for your college- there are forms that you have to fill out. Then after you do that you may have to go to Registration and Records.

It used to be that you could take a semester off without having to re-apply (note that I didn't say enroll). You would just get in touch with your adviser, get a pin and enroll in classes as ^^ mentioned). It's possible this has changed but as far as know it hasn't.

Now since your unity account has been removed (are you positive about this) it suggests you have been removed from the NCSU system and may actually have to re-apply to the NC State.

First thing I would do is go find the adviser and make sure you actually have been removed from the system and that they don't actually have a pin for you already. Call the secretary for the department, he/she should be able to contact your adviser and put the two of you in touch.

If you do have to reapply it's a fairly painless process.

I had taken a year off once and had to re-apply. You go to registration and records and get an application (specific for reapplying), fill it out and submit it (w/app. fee). This is essentially the same as when you first applied to NC State but with slightly different questions and the decision is made very quickly.

Since you were already in your particular program you shouldn't have to matriculate or anything like that. I didn't have to and I took more than a year off. But that could be different depending on the college so maybe you'll have to fill some stuff out with your particular college. My guess is that you'll just have to reapply to the University and then you'll be good to go.

its not that difficult guys ... there is a website

http://www.ncsu.edu/registrar/readmission/index.html

1 semester off = readmission. form on R&R website, $50 fee at the time of registration

e-mail me if you have anything specific if you want to ask - mailto:nicole_wood@ncsu.edu

Sounds right - I took 2 nonconsecutive semesters off for military training and I had to be readmitted. As long as you didn't get kicked out they'll let you back in, it's no big deal.
