now, i'm no expert on the rules of football, but can't the center do whatever he wants w/ a snapped ball? he doesn't HAVE to give it to the quarterback, he just can't advance it since he's an ineligible receiver.

is this correct?

yes the center can fake the snap and go as long as the qb TOUCHES the ball.. he doesnt have to take it
