so i want to make a custom template for these printed sheets of paper we have that we fill out everyday.i want to be able to put these sheets in the printer and make them have numbers and stuff already printed out on them.the data to be printed will be changed each day (we print days of week and the date)is there a way i can scan the original doc, and somehow "fill it out" on a program that will turn the part i filled out into a template?i was thinking about scanning it, and making it a layer on adobe photoshop. and one layer will be the original doc, and the other layer the information to be printed. is there an easier way?thanks.

i think you can embed it as an image and overlay a table on it in word, but i use openoffice so i can't tell you how[Edited on November 29, 2007 at 1:34 PM. Reason : ntlb]

^ yea, that's what I'd use. If you've got the pro version just use the scan as a background and put input fields over top the image. I'm sure you can set then to do the date or whatever. Then just delete the background and do a test print. Best of luck!(You can also use a ruler and setup the fields without even having to scan. Probably what I'd do.)
