Students at Montclair State U. in New Jersey will have to get cell phones and pay for them out of pocket.

How shitty is this? The extra $420 added to the tuition is bad enough, but downright scary is the quote "What it does is allow students to have an extra pair or group of people watching over them when they're going from one location to another" by the local police chief. Would you want NC State watching your every move? I thought college students were adults, yet Montclair State sees it necessary to track them everywhere and keep them in touch at all times. It's your right not to be within reach if you choose, damn it! I turn my phone off at 10:00 every night because I'm done for the day; I wouldn't want a teacher or classmate bugging me when I'm winding down or trying to whack off.

When they call, just say "Hey, boy, don't call me after 10 I'm usually try and whack off at this time."

well there's your problem

I wonder what happens when you go over...

what fucking expenses are there to check your email?

"This year Farleigh Dickinson University also began a mandatory cell phone program, but the school picked up the cost for all of its on-campus student residents."

This is what they should've done. That or just given everyone a GPS tag implant with a student activated button...anyone in trouble probably isn't going to be able to activate the emergency GPS if its designed to not go off when being shuffled around in your purse.
