When I have my own (as in I'm the head) family thanksgiving dinner, I'm having seafood. I'm NOT going to allow cassaroles either. I don't understand them. All I can taste is butter..... or I bite into sweet potatos, and I end up with a sugar buzz (from the extra sugar and marshmellows.

Actually, a game bird or free range turkey would be awesome. However, I would be cooking it--as not to end up with DRY turkey. I had the displeasure of carving the dry turkey this year. It was dry to the point it fell off the bone and couldn't be carved. "Did I cook it long enough??"
