i just got a ps1 emulator to mess with, and was looking for a good way to find the roms. or how to make the roms out of the games that i have, so that i can play ps1 on the laptop. that would be sweet, but i dont want to carry a stack of games around with me. it defeats the whole purpose. will also take links to a good site with info.

I'm not really sure how to help you, but don't you think control would be difficult on a keyboard? Just use google to find PS1 games. I have an N64 emulator and its pretty hard to find games, but with enough determination, it will work.

I don't really know much about computers, but theres bound to be a program you can find online to turn your PS1 games into ISO files, and then run the files through an emulator.

looks like that except theres a little red light thing with the extra button under the select, im pretty sure its a playstation controller ripoff. i bought it to play gta san andreas when i bought the pc version ]]

um......can't you just play original PS1 games directly with most emulators?

most emulators will let you load iso's or play original cds.you generally just need the bios file and the iso/cd to play the games. and yes, play with a gamepad, i couldn't imagine playing a psx game with a keyboard.

I've been using ePSXe for over a year now and have had great success with it. Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII, Final Fantasy Tactics, Metal Gear Solid, and Resident Evil 2 are prime examples. As far as ROMs go, I still have quite a few PS1 games, and I just use Nero to shoot .isos of them. If you're not able to do that, then I'm sure you could find the ROMs through BitTorrent trackers.
