Considering Vista is getting a lot of bad press, all Apple needs to do for the time being is say "hey, we're not Vista!" and hope MS shoots itself in the foot. There's no need for them to play the victim and say "hey, look at all this stuff we can do, you don't really NEED vista."

Vista is still a young OS and just like every MS OS before it everyone wants to talk shit. We don't see anyone talking shit about 98 or XP now do we? Vista has a lot of potential but it is kind of a resource hog so you'll need a decent computer. DX10, native multi-core, and 64bit is what is leading me to Vista eventually. I'm still waiting to get it some more time before I make the jump though.

Apple just needs to realize a good marketing strategy involves selling your product to the consumer, not just trying to undercut the competition through "ours is cooler than yours" tactics.
