That's AWESOME!

Not sure it would work here in America, though. We have too many fatties already.
However, we could burn them, and use that for power. Two birds with one stone.

in related news, cancer has recently outpaced heart disease as the leading cause of death in NC. and surprisingly both are trending downward (with heart disease trending downward more steeply)

BMI is a flawed indicator, but that guy is not one of the people that is overweight but not obese.

It is interesting to see how many new immigrants to America balloon up in weight once they get here, thanks to increased portion size, decreased physical activity, and no corresponding increase in exercise.

^ I can believe that, I used to live in Mora, New Mexico. It was a small town, but every Friday and Saturday night the main intersection of the town was like a demolition derby, and the police were a joke. I just avoided town on the weekends cause my car was one of the few that didn't already look like crap.

anyway, If it were some lean hugely muscular person who was excluded for a bmi over 25, i could see the point, but i don't think that would come up because the system involves people who look at you and they can tell if your a body builder or a lard ass. It even says in the article that you're given a medical examination, not just weighed.
