If it's 1 on 1 I don't stand much of a chance against guys who are taller AND quicker. I can handle someone taller and I can handle someone quicker... but not both.

But I never play 1 on 1. It's 3 on 3 at minimum and I'd much rather play full 5 on 5...

^^^ I think people on here who have played with me (and there is at least a half dozen, probably more) would disagree... I'm not amazing but I'm good, and I know it...

Actually, by and large it's true. I've played baseball and basketball with a bunch of guys on here. There are certainly a lot who are very athletic (BoobsR_Gr8, MrUniverse, etc) but my guess is the people who actually got out there and played are the exception to the rule.

Really, all I wanted to do was start a small flamewar to pass the last 45 mins or so of work... and it semi-worked.

Yeah man, I used to love going down there. You can always get a game..

I use the court at my gym out here now. It's nice but there is no guarantee of a game during the week. Friday evenings there is almost always though..

Yeah I know... My HS coach played at Rucker with Kareem back when he was Lew Alcindor... he has some crazy stories. Played against Earl Manighaut (the guy who had that HBO movie about him... Kareem said that he was the best player he'd ever seen).

Probably. I freely admit I am no good in 1 on 1 because of my height... Although I think most of us would be scared you'd be grabbing our junk on defense...

Actually, I was playing a warm up game of 2 on 2 last week and we needed a 4th and there was a chick shooting around so we asked her to play. Her best defense was knocking the sac everytime we would go to drive... After a while I just decided I'd take jumpers and save myself.
