I just flew back home today.I must say that, while no funerals are fun, this was the "happiest" funeral I've ever been to. The organizers had asked some of her old friends to give eulogies and share some of their favorite memories of Allison. It was a difficult eulogy to give, because you're both crying and laughing at the same time, which means it's real easy to get choked. I'm glad to know I wasn't the only the only speaker having the runny nose/choking/slobbering problem. It really meant a lot to me to see her parents smiling somewhat, not only because they know Allison is no longer in any pain, but also at the fact that they saw what an influence she had on so many of our lives. I don't really think or talk about religion much, but Allison is one of the reasons I pray and have faith that there is a Heaven, so that one day I'll be able to see her beautiful smile again with my own eyes.

I told my friends to tell stories about me being a dick when they go to my funeral so that no one feels bad.

That could be one way to do it...
