i just got back from the ED at new hanover

sister had an asthma attack

even after like 9ml of albuterol and 125 mgs of solumedrol she was still all BLEHHHH

surprisingly her o2 sat was at 100... so i was like wtf mate? heart rate was nearing 200 and i didn't want to put her more tachy and arrest, so i told her we were going to the ED

so i drove there, going like 80mph, ran a few stoplights.
(it would be stupid to call 911 since i already started a line and pushed solumedrol and nebbed albuterol... that's exactly what they would have done... plus it's a bit retarded for a medic to call 911, especially when i've got my med bag with me)

all they did was just let her chill there since i had already treated her

she's fine now.. but whew... fun stuff at 2am when you're supposed to be far away from emergent problems

albuterol is totally worthless. people have been trying to get me to take it all my life. hell, i used to be... friends with a chick who worked at a hospital, and she would jack it and drop it off in my mailbox and stuff. even though i had like 3 prescriptions with like 999999999 refills on each.

never did anything for me.
