I bought a Boost Mobile Motorola i425 phone this weekend, to replace a crappy Nextel phone (Boost is a Sprint-Nextel company). I'm planning to unlock it for use with my Nextel SIM card, so I did some Googling to figure out a good way to do it. I found some confusing results (I've never attempted this sort of thing before, so I wasn't really sure where to look).I ended up finding something called Black Halo, but it costs $$ per each unlock, and that wouldn't be my first choice. Does anyone know of any better (free) alternatives?

i would go to the mall and find one of the kiosk in the middle that sell cell phones and accessories. find one that has a guy who looks less than reputable and ask him to do it. they have all the equipment and knowledge and chances are he's been asked to do it before.that would be my first option before you possible screw up your phone programing.
