I get my dreads retwisted once a month at Nubian Queens on W. Chapel Hill street in Durham


they do excellent work and actually pay attention to the progress of your dreads, and take the necessary care


its awesome, i didnt start my dreads there but i would recommend that if you wanna start em go to this place

i get my facial hair done and a line up (once in a blue moon ) at Platinum Cuts on Wake Forest Hwy in Durham good and cheap, black owned so the barbers are cool as hell

the reason I go to them is:
1. they do a great job
2. they trim up the neck beard, beard, and mustache free of charge

Last two times I've gone to Professional Barber Shop in Cameron Village (next to Quizno's, across the way from Fresh Market). I think the barber's name was Ed. He did a good job, I believe this will be my new "regular" location. A little more than Man-Mur ($18) but didn't seem in such a hurry.
