Any system, and I'm talking about the single player mode because games with online multiplayer have looooooooooads of replay value. So which game do you come back to the most, even if its something like the SNES version of mario that you play through every year or so.

tiger woods comes to mind.starwars battlefront II
11/9/2007 2:08:44 PM
i'm an snes rpg guy so i love chrono trigger. there's a bunch of different endings depending on when you end the game and nerdy stuff like that.
11/9/2007 2:11:13 PM
I would have to say resident evil 4 for the wii. Upgrade your weapons and costumes (which I never used as a motivation in other games, but actually helps a bit in this game).

11/9/2007 2:34:57 PM
Anything with a "sandbox" feel to it. This would mean the most popular single player PC game ever, The Sims 2.
11/9/2007 2:35:08 PM
CivilizationSimCity
11/9/2007 2:35:33 PM
^those tooand i'll throw in starcraft. my dad played that single player for years and years[Edited on November 9, 2007 at 2:41 PM. Reason : .]
11/9/2007 2:40:31 PM
Turok for me.I used to come home from school everyday and play the entire game all the way through,
11/9/2007 2:41:53 PM
I go back and play SimCity all the time. I love that game. The first Zelda they released for SNES, Megaman 2 and 3 for NES, Civilization, Madden, Gran Turismo, GTA, Diablo 2, the original C&C and Warcraft 2 back in the modem days.Doom 2 got played until my computer bled out the monitor and died.
11/9/2007 2:45:32 PM
I think civilization wins this battle
11/9/2007 2:58:27 PM
11/9/2007 3:01:02 PM
i'd say any of the GTA games just because there's so much stuff to do.
11/9/2007 3:11:59 PM
I don't think I have played any game ever as much as Counter-Strike.Super Mario Bros. 1 & 3 are up there, as well as Zelda 3: A Link to the Past, and of course Contra.
11/9/2007 3:15:27 PM
Resident Evil 4, if you include Mercenaries.
11/9/2007 3:17:21 PM
i forgot about counter-strike
11/9/2007 3:34:15 PM
but counterstrike was all about the multiplayer.. I thought this was about single player? for some reason I played need for speed 2 a ridiculous amount of time. Command and Conquer and Age of empires as well took up a large portion of my time in middle school/high school.
11/9/2007 3:41:07 PM
Tetris Attack single-player ate up a lot of my time.I've played through Super Mario 64, Zelda: OoT, and Super Mario World quite a few times, but at the time I was broke and couldn't afford anything else.
11/9/2007 4:04:36 PM
No idea why, but I can play Shadow of the Colossus over and over again. Great game.
11/9/2007 4:10:04 PM
GOLDENEYE!
11/9/2007 4:36:55 PM
Diablo II
11/9/2007 4:39:49 PM
Fallout 2Probably played that at least 15 times all the way through.
11/9/2007 4:43:17 PM
RBI Baseball for NES
11/9/2007 4:48:45 PM
toe jam and earlking's bountyThose two games for the sega ate up sooooo much of my time, and i still pop them in every once in a while these daysking's bounty btw led to the heroes of might and magic series (NOT the FP Might and Magic...i'm talking Heroes of M&M)[Edited on November 9, 2007 at 4:54 PM. 11/9/2007 4:50:23 PM
resident evil 4
11/9/2007 5:02:06 PM
i hate overly violent video games and i loved resident evil 4 to play it through 4 times
11/9/2007 5:59:18 PM
goldeneye, smb3, sonic 1 and 2
11/9/2007 7:13:37 PM
XBox:Star Wars: Republic Commando. The whole campaign mode is only about 8 hours, but it is outstandingly fun and there are often multiple ways to go about beating a situation. And besides that it's the most fun I've ever had in a single player shooter.
11/9/2007 7:15:27 PM
Resident Evil 4 for the PS2i played through the campaign three times, plus ada's campaignand spent a fuckload of hours playing mercenaries and five starring them
11/9/2007 7:22:14 PM
Goldeneye is def up there.I played Half-life 2 for PC all the way through a bunch of times. Seems like the AI would surprise me with something different every time I played it. And getting the baller ass gravity gun and throwing bodies around towards the end was always worth it.
11/9/2007 8:36:36 PM
Any Fight night (adjusted to your skill level)Any simulation racing game (grand turismo, forza)
11/9/2007 8:40:58 PM
Perfect Dark is way up on the list.
11/9/2007 9:38:39 PM
nba jam
11/9/2007 10:19:35 PM
whoever has said RE4 has the right idea. so much you can do with that game. plus, the hardest difficulty is such a bitch to finish
11/9/2007 10:41:11 PM
I think I played goldeneye more than any other game. Whether it was multiplayer or doing the speed runs to get all the unlockables. damn facility in like 2 minutes on 00 agent
11/9/2007 10:43:09 PM
Battlefield 1942
11/9/2007 11:51:46 PM
^ concurredEvery time I stare at my PC joystick it gives me the urge to fly helicopters in DC mod of BF1942...jack the enemy ratio up as high as possible, and drop the AI level as low as possible, then hover above a spawn point and just waste countless MF's... it's like the heroin game stan got... no point... just fun[Edited on November 10, 2007 at 12:03 AM. mario 64 about once a year i replay it and beat the game i pretty much got it memorized now.any tony hawk games i think ive destroyed all thosenba jam and toe jam and earl were the deal
11/10/2007 12:23:06 AM
Perfect Dark. You don't want to know how long I played that for. San Andreas
11/10/2007 1:09:53 AM
I wish they would've just re-did perfect dark and golden eye...ya know improve the graphics, speed, controls, add a jump feature- pretty much just make it a more modern day game with the same weapons and levels.
11/10/2007 1:16:04 AM
Medieval II: Total War is one that I've replayed numerous times trying all the different factions. Any of the Civilization and Master of Orion II are two others that get played over and over again.I suppose if you're looking for more linear games, I enjoyed playing Homeworld through numerous times. Dunno why, but I just enjoyed it.[Edited on November 10, 2007 at 8:18 AM. Reason : poor word choice]
