So im taking fortran next semster and says e115 is a prereq for it and i have not taken it yet, and not planning to since for my major i can take either e115 or pms 100. Is this going to screw me up in anyway as far as being able to take the class?

talk to your advisor...she will probably let you take it...she will understand that you have 2 options and you picked the other onei give the chances your advisor helps you out to be like 97 percent...i give this a 3 percent chance they make you take e115

nope it won't.the class itself is absolutely pointless. the only thing worth going to is the lab, and the TA will be your guide.

yeah some of the ta's are hot too

PMS 100 is useless. I wish I had opted to take E115... I might have actually gotten something out of it.

So long as you aren't afraid of Linux, you will have zero need of anything taught in E115 to do well in Fortran.

they don't check this prerequisite. you'll be fine as long as you can know the basic linux stuff.

Do your future Fortran TA a favor and read up on the basic Linux terminal commands. It is annoying as hell when you tell someone to list the files in a directory and they just give you blank look.
