So I've been suffering from chronic neck pain for about 4 months and all any doctors have done is give me perocecet and flexiril. I saw the Carolina Back Institute and they wanted to do these injections on the spine to where they think my pain is coming from. They stick this big ass needle from your neck all the way to almost touching you spine.I was like "Hey whats that sound and popping feeling, Oh that is just the needle going through your muscles, the pain is probably going to get worse soon."Motherfucker I can not get the feeling and sound of that out of my head.It sounds like sticking a pencil into a tomato that has plastic hard layers so that it sticks when going through instead of a clean motion. Did I mention it didn't fix my pain? I'm going back in for Round 2 next week.[Edited on November 5, 2007 at 11:10 PM. Reason : .]

A girl I used to work with had those shots through the neck and said they worked after a few rounds. Good luck!

My lower back and neck hurt a lot. Chiropractor is the only thing that reallys sets me right. It's worth the $$

^everyone is different and while i believe a chiropractor is valid in some situations, in most they can make things worse without a prior consult/exam from your physician.i've heard mostly positive things about the (POP!) injections.
