I'm thinking about doing a directed individual study and I have some idea of what I want to study but they don't seem quite significant enough.what should I told to my professor about? .Net? a certification?

something that would help me once i graduate. most jobs i see like .Net experience but it seems like that is going to go down the drain in a few years from what i have heard.

You should coordinate this with your professor to see what they are willing to accept.

^ i think people are saying its too bulky and convoluted. Too much packaged into it by Microsoft. Also that it can probably be out done in a few years.I know nothing about it so this is just hearsay[Edited on November 5, 2007 at 1:42 PM. Reason : dd]

dont get and internship, get a CO-OP.dont worry about what you should learn. just get a CSC and do a CO-OP,chances that they will hire you if you arent an idiot will be very good, then if they want you to know something they will pay for you to learn it.well at least this is how IBM does things.hell if you want you can do a MBA on them if you'd like.
