Just started yesterday when the battery went low. Has been fully charged, re-started and more since... anyone had this problem with a Dell Inspiron 9300 running XP ever? Any chance of a fix? Tried google and only found info on indicator lights coming on too late to be useful.

try taking your battery off of your laptop for a little while
