Thats it, ive been a fox supporter but who can is left to blame now?what is your excuse?
11/4/2007 3:24:02 PM
I thought firefox had a better defense than this.
11/4/2007 3:24:32 PM
thunder
11/4/2007 3:25:54 PM
its way better than IE though, wouldn't you say?
11/4/2007 3:26:48 PM
I have been a Fox supporter as well but this offense right now is just pathetic. And I'm blaming Fox for not benching Carr after seeing him play one game with the Panthers. The defense can only hold a team back so much but with no offensive drives and no rest for the defense points are bound to be scored against us.
11/4/2007 3:26:55 PM
i dunno, IE supports more video sites than firefox historically for me
11/4/2007 3:31:45 PM
fuck ie
11/4/2007 3:55:55 PM
for real though, i blame fox not for his coaching but for not getting the right playersfirst for depending on delhommesecond for not getting another WR, completely inexcusable

I HATE OUR FUCKING TEAM. we SUCK. david carr is the biggest piece of manure ever...and oh yeah im going to the game on Sunday. I swear to god if we lose again....... ruin my weekend wolfpack or panthers and you will be losing a very happy fan

can you really blame fox for delhomme getting hurt though? if he was still playing quarterback this team would not be 4-4if he was playing and this team was 5-3 or 6-2 then it wouldn't be that big of a deal; and honestly we have one of the best back-up qb's in the league. He is a former number one pick and everyone thought that it was a good pick up in the offseason b/c the jury was kind of still out on him b/c he had no o-line in houston. i personally didn't think that he would suck this bad
11/5/2007 10:02:19 AM
yeah but whats the excuse for not getting a WRNONE, seriously how can you go into a season with colbert and carter and think you've got a good chance
11/5/2007 10:20:12 AM
i just dont understand releasing Key
11/5/2007 10:30:55 AM
letting Keyshawn go was dumb. I don't care what the reasons were, but can you look at this team now and think that Keyshawn wouldn't be a help? And, seriously, our quarterbacks?

it's halfway through the seasonseason's lost
11/5/2007 3:13:02 PM
considering -we haven't won a home game (we're closing in on 1 full year w/o winning one)-the first half of our schedule was the easier half, and we're only 4-4 (and most of the ones we won were close games against bad teams)-We get to choose from a guy who looks like he's scared to play, an old man, and an undrafted rookie @ QB.....not to mention we can't really run the ball to help our QB out. It's looking lost....the only thing that gives me hope is the fact that we play in one of the two worst divisions in football (but now, both the bucs and saints are coming on strong.)word is Carr got a concussion late in yesterday's game and who knows if vinny will be better by next week, so Moore might get the nod.and, imo Hurney deserves as much, if not more of the blame than Fox.[Edited on November 5, 2007 at 3:27 PM. The Panthers are pretty much like NC State this year IMO the offensive lines dictate how well the QBs do. Evans has had time the last 3 games and he is producing. I think you all are jumping on Carr a bit early. The line has really let him down when he is in there. Panthers should draft Brian Brohm...
11/5/2007 4:00:39 PM
Carr Holds the ball a long time on some sacks.
11/5/2007 4:05:34 PM
chris leak isn't playin for anyone these daysand he's from charlotte, so people would show up to at least a couple games just to see how he doesi say we go get him. they could get him for chump change, and hell, he can't be any worse. it ain't like moore or carr have really risen to the challenge.i mean, everyone said in houston the knock on carr was he held the ball too long. but we all wanted to believe that wouldn't be a problem behind a better OL. well, guess what. he still won't throw the fucking ball in less than 6 seconds. and he wears those queer gloves.[Edited on November 5, 2007 at 4:10 PM. He's not shell shocked...he's just terrible. Some people have all the physical tools, just don't have the mental acuity to be a good quarterback.Few would question that Carr has more talent than Jake...but no one would say Carr was a better quarterback.
11/5/2007 4:17:32 PM
11/5/2007 4:21:32 PM
I still do not see how people say Jake sucks...When healthy, with a decent O-line he is a threat to pick apart most defenses. III
11/5/2007 4:32:13 PM
You can have talent and be terribleYou can have limited talent and be goodWho has more talent...Charles Rogers or Wes Welker?Ryan Leaf or Jeff Garcia?JD Drew or David Ekstein? The former in all cases has more talent, but anyone would rather have the latter on their teamAs is the case with Carr and Jake
11/5/2007 4:36:26 PM
^^And the team believes in him...him and Steve Smith have great chemistry...he has a proven track record of being able to win...sure he throws an interception here and there and the dumb fans are like "PUT IN WEINKE!" or "PUT IN CARR!" but everybody throws a pick here and there...except Tom Brady and the dude from Oregon ^i understand the point you're trying to make...i just don't think this is a very good example...Carr is a better scrambler than Jake...I'm trying to think of another thing he is more talented at than Jake but I can't...please tell me how Carr has so much talent]
11/5/2007 4:36:42 PM
I don't really blame John Fox for Delhomme getting hurt 2 years in a row which has contributed significantly to our shitty performance
11/5/2007 4:36:59 PM
^^ I agree III[Edited on November 5, 2007 at 4:38 PM. Reason : .]

It's looking like Jake was even more valuable than Smitty is.....Smitty went down a few years ago and we almost made the playoffs with JakeJake goes down and Smitty never even sees the ball and, i'm getting tired of Rhyne Robinson's crap....it's about time to put smitty on returns. He has to touch the ball in some capacity 10+ times for us to have a chance now.
11/5/2007 4:39:57 PM
Rhyne Robinson looked good in the preseason...he was confident, able to break tackles...an elusive returner...but that was preseason...I mean Jamal Robertson looked like a baller in preseason at RB a couple years ago...we all remember how poorly he did against Seattle in the NFC title game although in fairness, he was like our 4th string RBCAN ROD "HE HATE ME" SMART PLEASE COME BACK TO CAROLINA?
11/5/2007 4:41:57 PM
Carr has a stronger armCarr is biggerCarr is a better athleteCarr throws a better spiralCarr has a quicker releaseand on an on and onNone of these mean shit when you have no internal clock and make every throw into double coverage off your back foot like Carr doesBut put Jake and Carr on a neutral field and Carr will win if not dominate most every QB-centric drillThis doesn't make him a good quarterback, it just means he has the physical tools to be oneIf Jake had Carr's tools, he could potentially be an elite NFL passer
11/5/2007 4:45:44 PM
He was on track to be an elite passer this season anyway.
11/5/2007 4:46:51 PM
He had a great start, but good games vs 3 teams with a combined 6-19 record does not an elite passer make
11/5/2007 4:49:09 PM
disregard where I said "Carr is bigger" as one of the reasons he is more talented
11/5/2007 4:51:37 PM
Time for Fox and Hurney to go.
11/11/2007 4:09:29 PM
smitty is not the same this year, he's been dropping more passes than usuali feel bad for fox but he needs to get this fixed, he might get another year on the account that he has no QB's left
11/11/2007 7:42:43 PM
Fox coaches not to lose and loses the majority of the time. Just for once, I want him to coach to win. And then if we lost, I wouldn't feel like we could have/should have done more to win. But Fox just keeps on with the conservative coaching. Pretty soon he'll be coaching not to lose his job. I doubt the end result will be much better for him.
11/11/2007 8:36:17 PM
^ Pretty useless point here on TWW...I been arguing that same sentiment for close 3 or 4 years now. To many people believe that this coaching style is the new coaching standard that should be followed. I whole heartedly agree with you, Fox coaches not to lose, and plays real conservative with the thought being if we are close in the end we have a chance.I say play to win, take some reasonable chances, play down the field instead of field position. I do think Fox will be gone if he goes this season without winning a home game...that just would not be good for him or Hurney III
11/11/2007 9:45:26 PM
the chargers canned a coach who played not to lose and they got stuck with norv turner ... ill take my chances with fox
11/11/2007 10:22:09 PM
11/11/2007 10:39:56 PM
At least Norv can beat the Colts...And further SD fired a winning coach (with was a dumb ass move to begin with). No comparison to what is going on with Panthers III
