I'm in the perfect complex for kids to come trick-or-treating...nice neighborhood with mostly 20s and 30s single or married people. I go out and buy lights and pumpkins and shit for my apartment because I figure I'll get lots of trick or treaters and I want them to know I am down with that.

I buy like $20 of the good ass candy, the kind I hoped to get when I was a kid. Full size candy bars, etc.

So what happens?

I get 0 stupid fucking kids knocking at my door all night long.

Same thing happened here. Now we're stuck with all this candy...

Yep, same here. I expected *way* more trick-or-treaters...

In case anyone is wondering, engrish is still accepting candy donations. He can be reached at 118 East South Street in Raleigh, NC for the next 3 hours.

I had a rotten day yesterday, so despite having 2 bags of Halloween candy, I hid from the SWARMS of childrens in my subdivision by cutting all of the lights off. Hell, there were so many damned kids in the streets here that I almost couldn't get my car home.

Me too. No kids in my hood, but the local "color" decided to make an appearance to get free food from the man.

Yeah, dude, we lived in nice apartments for 2 years and didn't see a single trick or treater. Now we live on a golf course and it's like Children of the Corn out here on Halloween.

my sister practically begged kids to accept free candy... apartments on minor streets are not very popular. we're talking a-list candy, too: reese's, skittles, butterfingers, football creams

We had a shitton of kids in our neighborhood. I was asked to go get more candy for the kids so I went to my neighbors house and borrowed some out of his "take one piece" bowl.

It's actually houses and condos if you want to be technical. I doubt the kids know that I'm a renter. So no, that's not it.

It's not like some fucking college kid's apartment or something...haha. Kids definitely wouldn't go to those.

This is prime real estate for trick or treaters. Or so I thought.

I moved back in with my parents a few weeks ago in an upscale neighborhood and figured I'd make my first Halloween back a lot more fun than it was when I was in college (I fucking studied right through two Halloweens). So I go rummaging through the storage room and pull out these decorations I made when I was 6 (a foot-wide pipe-cleaner spider on a yard-wide yarn web), and some other cutesy Halloween stuff. I string it ALL out on the mailbox, the front door, etc.

Now we've got three bags of uneaten candy and my mom and I have been trying to diet...
