I've gotten about 2 MB/s from Steam in the early morning. Only 1 MB/s in the busy hours.

yeah. i don't seem to have problems downloading on Steam. I have had problems in the past and a restart/update would fix those issues.

Just make sure you don't have a router/firewall blocking necessary ports. Although, despite what they say on their support forms, I've never had to configure port forwarding of any sort to get Steam to download stuff properly.http://tinyurl.com/27sskk

Did you e-mail the support dudes at steam about this yet?Maybe they know.I have always been able to get steam to connect and download. Maybe not very fast all the time, but it works every time for me.
