Can't decide between the tungsten pearl and the smoky granite mica. Also any other colors that would be nice please??

i'm 50/50 on both. the tungsten brings out the curves more in the car and is a nice classic color. the granite is straight up an awesome color but kind of makes it look smaller in person and is a bitch to maintain.

I like both, but the first color makes it look like a camry or something. I like the second one for color, but its kinda plain. How about a blue? Was there a nice one? Either way, you have got to get some privacy glass or something.

250 is out, getting a 350. they have a somewhat navy blue that looks black sometimes which is nice, but again that makes the car look smaller and doesn't bring out the curves as much. so are we saying the tungsten is just an ugly color or what?

def. getting a 30% or 40% tint all around minus front windshield which would really make the tungsten look nicer and nicer.

i'll try to post pics of my 250 which was granite.

I think its just that the first color looks like a seafoam or greenish color, is it supposed to be silver? Maybe its just the lighting. If it is silver, go with silver. The darker windows would look much better. The black is always sharp, but its so typical of a Lexus.

btw, ended up getting a loaded 250 instead of the base 350. the 350 is stronger and all, but tickets are waiting to happen with it. also, i've taken out most cars that tried competing with the 250 for example an 07 base 3 series which has a little more horsepower, simply left it off the line then it got closer between 40-60, then 60 and up it was a joke (IS's are known for the 60 and up)

The pearl looks alot better in person than in pictures. I looked at the IS, but its too small for anyone over 6 ft.

Well, now I see that it is the Tungsten Pearl, and it obviously was just the very first pic in the thread that makes it look green.

the darker of those two colors looks better, but dark paint is hot in the summer and really bad about showing dirt and even the most minor scratches/dings.


and without driving the IS or the new 3-series or G35, I have a hard time believing I'd buy the Lexus over either of those alternatives.
