Ok folks, here's the final design and ordering info.

They are currently headed to the printer. pwrstrkdf250 is unfortunately not going to have time to go in on splitting them with me, so for now I'm going to do the initial release on my own via Paypal/USPS since I live in DC.

IF THERE IS SUFFICIENT DEMAND, i.e. everyone starts putting in orders fairly quickly, I will see what I can do about getting someone a box for distribution down there. Because I am doing a larger order, and going in by myself, this is a relatively substantial financial investment on my part. However I think enough people seem to be interested to cover this initial order.

Here is what they'll look like:

Red shirt/White screenprint. I've asked for Hanes or Fruit of the Loom tagless tees, so they will be of a high quality.

They will be available in S, M, L, XL, and XXL as long as they last or until I do another order.

The shirts will run $13 plus Shipping, which means, whatever it costs me to stick it in an envelope and mail to you, I'm not interested in effing you guys on postage. I just want everyone to get a shirt. If you order more than one, I will ship them all in one package so you save on shipping.

Orders and payments can be made via paypal email payments only. I figure you're reading this online, and you have an email address and plastic, so you can pay that way. No cash, no checks, unless you buy it locally when we cross that bridge.

To order, email me at 83LegacyTee@gmail.com with size/quantity/specific shipping info and I will email you back a Paypal invoice for payment. Shirts will take about 10 days to print so do not expect shipment before the first full week in November.

Please check back occasionally as we may have figured out a way to locally distribute and that information would be available in following posts.

Remember, I'm doing this as a hobby in my spare time for you all, so if I don't IMMEDIATELY send an invoice for your order, give it a little time. Thanks! Hope you guys enjoy them.

GO PACK

Also, it will make things much simpler if you let me send you an invoice first rather than sending me money right away, that way I can keep track of who orders what. I will fill the orders in the order I get them, so you dont need to worry about not getting your shit.

aside from the fact that you're an alias that didn't start posting on here except to sell these shirts and (supposedly) live in dc.

A couple old heads on here know who I am, I've been around here since 01. '03 alum.

Honestly it shouldn't be that hard to figure out who I am if you've been around any amount of time, but I just would rather stay anonymous this time around, like Ted Danson on Curb Your Enthusiasm hahaha

The whole idea of these shirts is that if you see it and know who it's referring to, it's just a tribute/head nod to the team and to true Pack fans...

If they don't, 1) fuck em, and 2) maybe they ask you and you can tell them how awesome the Pack are, etc.

Not that I care one way or the other if you make money on this. I think you should, frankly. Are you still planning on giving half the proceeds to the V foundation?

Also, I should be putting an order in soon. Thanks for putting this together man.

Do these shirts tend to run on the large size? I'm 5'10 normal weight, and I hate ordering a large and getting a dress.

'normal weight' doesnt help at all when picking out a shirt size haha. 5'10 normal weight says 'medium' to me but you apparently get larges. he'd probably need a specific weight to compare or something

yeah i fall into the same category. I am 5'11 and pretty normal weight - 165ish. Sometimes I will order a large and the sleeves will hang to my wrists and then I other times I will turn around and order a medium and the damn thing fits so tight my nipples show.

so what brand are the tees? Maybe I have one I can compare

Atleast...just depends on how the orders come in.

maybe down the road, but not right now

They're normal tshirts, I don't really know what to tell you.

I don't know exactly what I'll end up getting, I requested Hanes or FOTL Tagless, which is a pretty standard tshirt. if its a little too big then just shrink it a little...there shouldnt be that much discrepancy between a medium and a large that couldnt be rectified by some time in the dryer on full blast

Great shirts, but do yourself a favor and set up a Paypal shopping cart. It'll take all of 15 minutes to set up, save you a hell of alot of time in keeping track of orders, prints out mailing labels, and keeps everything in one place. Costs something like $7/mo, but well worth it.

For that matter, just use a flat-rate Priority Mail envelope to ship these in. $4.60 or thereabouts for up to 4 lbs.

Yes, I'm lazy, but dealing with fulfillment is enough of a pain in the ass as it is.

if that's all it is, i will probably do that, since it would even out on cost anyways using priority shipping materials for free versus buying envelopes/boxes and shipping supplies.

^i see what you mean by the shopping cart thing, but i think ill just do it this way... i have a paypal business account set up to do this, which is free and lets me send out invoices as i fill them with a button embedded in the email for one click payment...if i were mass producing these things i might consider it, but for the amount i think we're going to end up selling, i dont think i need all that.

I need to reiterate, if you send me an email for an order, you need to include the following

-SIZE
-QUANTITY
-SHIPPING INFO

I have the time to do this, but what I dont have time to do is individually follow up with people for info they neglected to send me...

Word - I've got a buddy that does some small-order screen printing out of his house and that's what I was thinking about.

That, and I'm getting ready to launch my book on the Mississippi River expedition in the spring and have been thinking about this kind of mess for months. I'm damn near convinced to just sell the thing exclusively through Amazon and let them deal with shipping stuff with the exception of a few other outlets (Great Outdoor Provision Co. was a sponsor, and maybe try to get it in REI, EMS, Mississippi River Museum, etc) http://www.sourcetosea.net

unless hes getting ripped off on screenprinting(and depending on the order size), he should be making $ off of selling them for $13 a shirt anyways

Well my goal here is to give the fanbase something I think is cool and hopefully not have any out of pocket costs when all is said and done. If i happen to come out in the black a little bit, I think it's reasonable to split the difference between myself and JimmyV.org.

I set the price at $13 because it will net me a profit, but like I said, I want to have a decent contribution to go to the foundation, not pad my pockets.

Really - unless you end up selling bijillions of these, if you actually account for your time into putting this together, mailing shirts, invoicing, etc, you might end up making $.25/hr GG on the shirts again.

Per Johnny Swank's suggestion,

and because I can order the envelopes right to my door, making my life easier... shipping will be a flat rate of $4.60, delivered anywhere in the US and for up to 5 shirts via PRIORITY MAIL. While that may sound high, you'd pay that much if I was doing it via Ground or whatever because I'd have to buy envelopes and tape separately. This way all the shipping materials are "free".

guys, off the initial production right now,

the following sizes/quantities are left.

5 Small
6 Medium
7 Large
7 XL
3 XXL

if i can sell through the majority of the first order, I may re-up if sufficient demand exists...and once a few people start wearing them, hopefully that will spur further orders and necessitate the re-up
