i hate having to walk around dabney at least put a tunnel through the middle. it pretty much cuts one section of campus (library, atrium, that big circular building) from half of campus (dorms and stuff) so you have to walk around. Pretty poor planning.

so i heard that Harrelson(yea that big circular building) was supposed to have more stories, but teh guy who designed it was a NCSU alumn and fucked up somehow and had to stop at 3 stories because the pillars wouldn't support the weight or something.

now i also heard the famous rumor that NCSU got a huge discount on bricks from a brick company nearly a century ago, and in order to keep the discount the university has to use some number of bricks every year.

i bet there are hundreds of different variations of this rumor, but i'm talkin about the "theory" in general. it would certainly explain those fucked up brick statues outside that building with the reactor.
