Audi A1 Metroproject Quattro ConceptI guess BMW needs to make a 0.5 Series to compete with this! Actually, they make the Mini Cooper, and that's exactly what this new Audi is being built to compete with.To be revealed in 4 days at the Tokyo Motor Show.Engines:1.4 litre NA petrol 80 hp1.2 - 2.0 litre turboed petrol and diesel enginesIf the 2 litre turbo makes 180-200 hp, this car would be a killer. And the 2 litre TD would be a monster as well, probably with about 150 hp and 225 lb-ft of torque.

10/20/2007 2:40:54 AM
I know it will never happen but, if Audi could price this unit in the high teens or low twenties it would sell like hot cakes.Def a cool car.

^ Do you really think an 80 hp GERMAN car is going to be sent to the US???A1A2A3A4A5A6A7: coming soon (along the lines of MB CLS)A8Wow... quite a range Audi has got there! Not to mention the Q5, Q7, R8, TT, and S/RS variants of the A3, A4, A5, A6 and A8.I think the only auto manufacturer with a bigger range of cars is Mercedes. You know what would be killer... an RS1, with a 300 hp engine
10/20/2007 2:32:54 PM
that shit is pimp!Id rock one
10/20/2007 2:39:52 PM

need to make an S1 versionthen bring it to America
10/22/2007 4:33:40 AM
That would be the PERFECT commuter car. If they bring it here, I would seriously consider one.Though I would probably end up with a permanent craving for steak...
10/22/2007 10:30:37 AM
i wonder what kind of gas mileage you are looking at with that thing
10/22/2007 10:19:40 PM

Wow, pretty neat. I was just thinking the other day about how remote start was becoming more common, but you couldn't do such things as change your HVAC settings or switch on heated seats from inside the house. Now, I suppose, you will be able to. All in all...definitely the most badass compact car that I've seen, and (at least in my opinion) a hell of a lot sexier than the MINI or 1-series. Audi may have just created the perfect around-town vehicle. Need to start saving my pennies for 2009 I guess...[Edited on November 15, 2007 at 11:01 AM. Reason : d]

oh look, another slow economy car.
2/12/2010 2:46:35 PM
Wait for the S1 and RS1 a couple of years down the road 4real though, I highly doubt an RS1 will be made, but an S1 is quite likely. Say, 225 hp turboed 4. Yup, that would be delish!
2/12/2010 2:54:14 PM
Id rather be driving an A1 @ 60mpg than a Prius @ 50mpg
2/13/2010 12:45:00 AM
^True that. I'm sure I could be happy with the 1.6 TDI as a commuter car.
2/13/2010 5:06:35 PM
no doubt. For those who are concerned with the environment, TDIs are way the fuck 'greener' than hybrids.
2/13/2010 8:36:33 PM
^agreed.
2/13/2010 9:49:59 PM

only VW would choose to use a rotary engine in a hybrid
3/3/2010 2:34:52 PM
^^^ whoops ^^ i was referring to the "S-Line Package" being just a cosmetic make-over without any enhancement in power or performance.

whatever petroleum is saved by the electric motor will be negated by all the oil it's gonna burn
3/28/2010 9:46:08 PM
its not a chevy chris
3/28/2010 10:07:27 PM
^^BUT IT IS SMALL!!!!!!11!!!!11!!! Which is good when you need to rebuild it in 15k miles.
3/29/2010 10:43:27 AM
I never understood the big deal about having to rebuild it so often. The engine is so small that you can remove it by hand, and the motor has all of five moving parts. Besides, I thought the new rotaries don't have the same problems with seals.
