oh shit, Tennessee got another big recruit for next year, Renaldo Woolridge from California. 4-star, really thought he was going to hometown USC.Thats two 4 stars for next year already, now we need to get Elliot Willams, but have stiff competition from Memphis and Duke

i'm really struggling to figure how ^ could possibly be relevant to the thread in ANY way.
10/18/2007 3:40:21 PM
other people brought up Tenn, just going with it...and maybe the rankings had input into his decisionand I figured you all would bitch if I started up a Tenn. BBall 2008 thread

last year, i REAAALLY felt scared about UNC. but this season, for some reason, i just dont feel that intimidated...i think they will be top 2 in the ACC, but i think we can take em down.i do not, however, like us going @ UNC for our 1st ACC game. i cannot WAIT to see this team tomorrow night
10/18/2007 5:10:39 PM
I would rather get (and beat) the targirls early....set the stage....so to speak !

i love how they do all this analysis position by position, depth chart by depth chart, and over the summer we've been pegged as have one of (if not the best) frontcourts in the country. obviously the difference between us being 23 spots lower than UNC is their point-machine x-factor Ty Lawson preseason polls = retarded. these shouldnt come out until 3-4 weeks after the start of the season...all these teams pretty much will play CUPCAKES (and they will serve their purpose) and these standings prolly wont change much at all[Edited on October 26, 2007 at 1:13 PM. ^Mangino gets royalties for that24 is favorable, if we should even be ranked at all. Its more about expectations (as all these polls are) than past performance. The voters and the public have no idea how good teams are until conference play gets into full swing.
10/26/2007 1:15:20 PM
10/26/2007 1:16:38 PM
YesIts on a scale where 1st place votes get you 25 points, 2nd place votes get you 24, etc. down to 1 point for 25th.
10/26/2007 1:18:05 PM
gotcha, that makes senseeven though that means that some people must've had UCLA ranked pretty low to balance out the 2 extra first place votes they received over UNC
