For folks interested in the Office of Student Conduct and NC State's judicial process, just wanted to give y'all a heads-up that the Chief Justice will be giving a report on his effort to elevate the burden of proof at the Student Senate meeting tonight @ 7:30pm in Senate Hall (2nd floor Witherspoon Student Center)

We've got a section on the agenda afterwards for student comment as well if anyone wants to speak up.

I don't think Paul Cousins will be attending but I'm not sure. The Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs (Tom Stafford) *should* be there though, and he's ultimately over Student Conduct.

somebody should push the Senate to allow commuters and shut-ins to telecommute to these meetings
it could start by setting up a cam for an online stream

Snewf: that's actually something we're working on. I'm trying to partner with the Library to get them to record the meetings and stream them. that's a work in progress at the moment though

Stafford isn't as bad as he's made out to be. And I'd rarely trust the technician to accurately quote anyone as I’ve seen them edit in mistakes and alter quotes on several occasions in the past.

One thing I didn't understand about Student Conduct, is it seems that the burden of proof that you didn't do something lays on the accused. I always thought the burden of proof was supposed to be laid on the accuser.
