http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0498399/A few friends and I had been anxiously waiting to see this movie for a few weeks now and finally saw it last night.First, I dont know if I was lead astray by the trailers and previews or if I was just expecting too much from the cast of Robert Duvall, Joaquin Phoenix, and Mark Wahlberg but this was probably the most disappointing movie i've seen all year. With a 7.7/10 rating on imdb, i usually dont buy into ratings but with the praise this had gotten i did, I expected so much more. The characters were bland, the idea was good but the story moved so slowly by the time it was over I questioned whether there was a story at all. Like i said, this is probably the most disappointing movie i've seen all year, i tried to like it but i just couldn't.oh and if you are expecting typical badassery that is Mark Wahlberg, save your money. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/we_own_the_night/

its normal, 117 minutes but it drug out for what seemed like three hours. Honestly, after the first 20 minutes I was questioning whether or not Joaquin Phoenix and Eva Mendes were going to stop making out and there might actually be some dialog and story development.i'm still mad at this movie. I can't wait to go see Gone, Baby, Gone next week to make up for this

I was gonna see this or Heartbreak Kid last weekend.I wanted to see this, but shorty won out and we saw the Stiller Trainwreck.I am now slightly less pissed to learn that I wouldn't have been much happier if I had gotten my way.

I thought this movie was way better than Clooney's new film Michael Claytonthat get's my "most disappointing film of the year" so farIf you thought We Own the Night seemed long, drawn out, and boring don't watch Michael Clayton. It got good reviews because it tricks people into thinking it's a smart movie so all the critics go along.
