about someone?

esp. if it's an apology/take me back sort of thing?

I was thinking I could include it in the flowers I was going to take to her.

or something like that.

She's pretty fucking pissed at me.

a good poem will melt almost any girl, save for the macho/testosterone chicks.

but be careful, a poem can't replace an apology, only supplement it. you will still apologize verbally to her face, and then the poem will take on from there and do its job.

i have apologized enough i think.

anymore apologies and it would make me seem less of a man. desperate even.

i was going to include a last ditch ask for forgiveness/give me one last chance thing in addition to the poem.

i won't do anything else, b/c i refuse to look like a stalker.

if she rebuffs me, i'm gone. i'm trying to be a man about it and cut my losses.

Good.

Just what did you do, exactly? It's been how long? Either she's playing games, or is a bitch.

Uhm...no?

Some girls, sure. Most? Doubtful (even including your exclusion)...poems are too fucking corny and annoying.

you apologized, sincerely and all that... then yeah you're done with that part.
some chicks love the poem thing, but that's an individual kind of thing and usually better for when times are good with a girl to begin with.
stick to where you are for the time being. unless you just want to be in the wing for some girl, i'd give her whatever amount of time you want and then roll on. this is one of those times where if you really pay attention you'll discover whether or not it's worth the trouble. if you man'ed up and apologized like you should for whatever it was, it's up to her whether she wants to take it from there.

So You Want To Be A Writer

if it doesn't come bursting out of you
in spite of everything,
don't do it.
unless it comes unasked out of your
heart and your mind and your mouth
and your gut,
don't do it.
if you have to sit for hours
staring at your computer screen
or hunched over your
typewriter
searching for words,
don't do it.
if you're doing it for money or
fame,
don't do it.
if you're doing it because you want
women in your bed,
don't do it.
if you have to sit there and
rewrite it again and again,
don't do it.
if it's hard work just thinking about doing it,
don't do it.
if you're trying to write like somebody
else,
forget about it.
if you have to wait for it to roar out of
you,
then wait patiently.
if it never does roar out of you,
do something else.

if you first have to read it to your wife
or your girlfriend or your boyfriend
or your parents or to anybody at all,
you're not ready.

don't be like so many writers,
don't be like so many thousands of
people who call themselves writers,
don't be dull and boring and
pretentious, don't be consumed with self-
love.
the libraries of the world have
yawned themselves to
sleep
over your kind.
don't add to that.
don't do it.
unless it comes out of
your soul like a rocket,
unless being still would
drive you to madness or
suicide or murder,
don't do it.
unless the sun inside you is
burning your gut,
don't do it.

when it is truly time,
and if you have been chosen,
it will do it by
itself and it will keep on doing it
until you die or it dies in you.

there is no other way.

and there never was.

pimpology 101 :

Ask for forgiveness once, plant the seed of doubt. That being that you actually are sorry for what you did

If you ask for forgiveness too many times, it makes you seem desperate and even more guilty than you are.

Good God, no, don't write her a poem. It will remind her of that sorta-gay guy she dated in high school, and she will be even more repulsed by you.

Just give her an honest, thoughtful apology, and hope for the best.

yeah, because everybody dated that sorta-gay guy.

seriously, a letter would do just fine. and you said you don't have the vocabulary to properly say how you feel. How is writing a poem going to help that? If you can't say what you want to tell her without the poem, sorry to say it, but you're screwed.
However, some girls might appreciate the effort. and
Quote :
"no ring, i don't wanna marry the girl just yet."

a ring doesn't necessarily mean you want to marry her. It wouldn't have to be an engagement ring.

Do whatever you think would work best with this particular person.

1. Go into the LOL cat thread
2. Pick out one where said cat looks pitiful and apologetic.
3. Print it out and include in flowers.

Man, she is going to save that poem and one day, if not the day she gets it, she will sit around with her friends (guys and girls alike) and they will all laugh about the fact that you sent her a poem.

Do you really want that to happen?

if she's that pissed

don't waste your time

I pissed this chick off pretty badly a few months ago when I was drunk and I tried my best to do damage control...

and this is from a chick that really liked me at one point

it didn't matter

she still doesn't speak to me and I didn't really mean to do what I did

in other words, apologize... if she can't handle that, then don't waste your time

just be honest and sincere
