I was friends with a math teacher at Wake Tech. One of her girlfriends that also taught there left to teach at ECU. After a semester of using her Wake Tech curricula, she was called in to see the Dean and was told, not in so many words, that her curricula was too difficult for the students at ECU and that she should consider making the tests and homeworks easier.

SHE HAD TO DUMB DOWN A WAKE TECH ALGEBRA CLASS FOR AN ECU CLASS!!
