I've potentially got this fantastically easy job that pays $15/hr (good for me anyway) where I run around and make sure people and printers are doing what they're supposed to, and the interviewer likes that I don't have any computer science background, and that he'd be willing to train me in Linux. Well, that's the first interview go-round, there's gonna be another one and they might not be like-minded, so if I get called I'm going to come prepared, by gum! What's the probability of a CHASStitty taking up Linux and running with it? My mom got a MA in compter science a few years back to beat the layoffs at her job in the RTP so she's got some textbooks laying around, I'm sure of it.Clarification: He specifically said that computer science applicants are ignored because they don't like the running-around-getting-papercuts part of the job and people like me are more "open minded" to manual labor mixed with Linux.[Edited on October 13, 2007 at 11:29 AM.
