The study abroad photo competition is ending on friday, if you haven't voted yet I'd appreciate it if you helped me out. A 4th year physics major, I studied abroad in Tokyo last year and got fairly serious about photography while over there. Some of the pictures here are from when I backpacked for 2 months in Southeast Asia through Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam.http://www.ncsu.edu/sa/photo/2007-2008/Voting/ballot.phpThey are all towards the bottom of each categoryLandscape:Vote for "Descending into Clouds" but I also did "Wat Arun"People & Culture:Vote for "Free Ride" but I also did "The Karen Hill Tribe"Pack abroad:Vote for "Monks at Angkor Wat" but I also did "The Gibbon Experience" Here are some of mine, although not in the competition. Thanks[Edited on October 11, 2007 at 3:18 PM. all of those are in tokyo?

awesome pics, if slightly overprocessed. If you want one of your pictures to win, only tell us which one to vote for - mentioning others will split TWWs vote.HUR, this user's pictures are at their worst, as good/almost as good as other submissions. In the best light, it seriously is like the difference between a disposable camera and a pro camera. some of these pictures are shitty, technically, and many are mediocre.[Edited on October 11, 2007 at 3:24 PM. Seriously - why would you even submit this picture to a competition? It's not a sucky picture in composition, but it's blurry! You're wasting your time, the admin's time, and the voter's time.]

No thanks, already voted for my own pictures. (Landscape- "Prague" and "Salzburg". People and culture- "choir" and "church". Pack abroad- "The Pack in Praha" and "Herr Kube and Son")

...What was harsh? All my comments were directed at hur, since he seems to have taken the stance that asking for poll skewing = cheating (i.e., peepants saying 'i suck at photography, but yall can make that irrelevant')^aha! I've had kube twice, and am gonna have him again[Edited on October 11, 2007 at 4:02 PM. Reason : nice.]

k, not liking the second round as much. The subject and composition is very nice, but I'm just not liking the exposure and balance. The color one has way too much shadow, maybe 1 stop more.... but don't blow out the highlights on her hair/shirt. If you shot in RAW I'd just reconvert and try again. The second has a serious lack of contrast. I honestly think it's just too dark.Gorgeous though, love the model too - her facial expressions make these shots.
