I don't follow world news too much...but i read this article on cnn.comhttp://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/10/11/us.turkey.armenians/index.htmland really just want to know why the fuck is the house of representatives voting over something that happened nearly 100 years ago? Now if this is a leg to something bigger that i have missed please inform me, it just seems like this should be a nonissue and is bordering on ruining good allied partnership with turkey. but like i said, am i missing something? some of you political guys lay it down for me.

^actually the pay raises are automatic... the votes are to decline the automatic cost of living adjustment that most government employees get.
