I don't follow world news too much...but i read this article on cnn.com

and really just want to know why the fuck is the house of representatives voting over something that happened nearly 100 years ago?

Now if this is a leg to something bigger that i have missed please inform me, it just seems like this should be a nonissue and is bordering on ruining good allied partnership with turkey.

but like i said, am i missing something? some of you political guys lay it down for me.

^actually the pay raises are automatic... the votes are to decline the automatic cost of living adjustment that most government employees get.
