So if your car is hooked up but not towed yet what do they do if you just sit in the car? Can they tow the car with you in it? If they call police, will the police make you get out so they can tow it?

Once they hook it up the vehicle has a lien on it until the tow fees are paid, but are they willing to wait on the scene for you to pay or get out?

Under City of Raleigh rules the truck has to stop if you flag it down before your car is out of the parking lot so you can have the car dropped. What if you jumped in then and then pretended to be on that G105 promo where you camp out in the car for a week and have people give you stuff through the windows?

According to the new laws, if you get there before they leave the lot. They have to drop it for $50.

Years ago DeputyDog or Dropout66, I forget which one, said that if you got in the car and they towed it, that would be considered kidnapping. He said if you get in the car while it's hooked up, or being hooked up, and then call the cops. They will come out and most likely make the tow guy unhook it, and you pay nothing.

you should go park illegally in some apt complex where they tow a lot and hide behind the bushes. Then jump in the car after the tow truck hooks up and report back to us.

If you run up an jump in, they can't leave.
You can call the cops, who will tell you to get out of the car.
Then you pay $50 to get your car back.

^ i dunno see why not. Otherwise you would just have tow trucks roaming around hooking up cars even when people are sitting in them.

haha raleigh pwnt, stay home

try parking in wilmington bitches. We have ninja towing. All the tow trucks here are black and they creep the parking lots with their lights off. They will hook to you in the middle of night in less than 3 minutes and creep off with no lights on. Shady shit man.

Also there is a law for about towing prices. look it up.

Quote :
"The towing ordinance prohibits non-consensual towing if the owner returns to the vehicle and removes it from the premises before the tow truck leaves. The owner still will be subject to paying the towing company a “drop fee” that cannot exceed half the regular non-consensual towing rate (or $50)."

I wonder what would happen if you hopped back in and called the cops

"OMGWTFBBQ!!! They're trying to tow me WHILE I"M IN THE DAMN CAR!!!"

that would be awesome.

Get back in the car, flail around a bit in the front seat, and yell "Don't tow me, bro!!!"
