the records might not make it the worst division in baseball history, but I think it's gotta rank up there

And I am a NL fan...

I'd rather see the Durham Bulls in the NLCS than the rockies and dbacks.

i'm not excited at all about the NLCS, but the diamondbacks are a quality team

they'll probably get swept in the WS by either AL team though

As of right now, there are 8,000 tix available for Game 1 in AZ. There are entire rows that are unsold. I am in Denver right now and everyone is going crazy about the Rox. Can't find any tix for the weekend yet for less than twice face value.

^ heard that on ESPN as well. Somewhat surprising given that the D-backs weren't expected to do much this year and their fans seemed to support the team back in 2001.

Alot of it probably has to do with the fact that Phoenix is a retirement-type town and most people there are probably fans of some other team. Or maybe they are so bummed out about Matt Leinart sucking ass and now being out for the season, that they can't leave the house

I can't figure it out. Rockies tix for the NLDS sold out by 10:00AM the morning after Holliday "touched" home. NLCS tix sold out after the 1st game.

Last year's NL Central was even worse, and its champion won the world series

Quality Team n. - Team that outperforms its Pythagorean Expectation by 11 games.

just win baby

---

^they'll put up a fight, they might win a game, but either the red sox or indians should take care of them handily

i think they're a good enough team, i like them a lot, but both AL teams are really good

Because in real cities* baseball is always first, even when the season is over.

* I define real cities as New York City and Boston. Not some wannabe, hick town like Charlotte

I'd say that a couple years ago when the Padres won the NL West and almost didn't finish .500 was at least as bad. They immediately got swept too.
