getting warranty service done on a laptop, called yesterday. they sent me a box that was outside my door this morning. i packed it this afternoon and called the pick me up #.

like 10 minutes later the doorbell rang and it was the DHL guy. i was like OMG WTF LOL DHL

A couple years back my cable went out. I called Time Warner about it and they said they would send someone out in 3 days, between the hours of 8-noon.

I said, "Well, I guess that'll be ok. Oh..By the way...This may be nothing, but...there's this construction guy on a excavator digging on my street. Do you think that might have something to do with it?"

12 minutes later a Time Warner service tech is sitting in my driveway.

DHL is pretty good about quick delivery. All of our overnight deliveries into work come through DHL. I think Dell has a partnership with them though.

guy at a drum shop told me they delivered some drums while homeboy was on vacation, left them on the porch ,.. in the heat.. and it rained

unless you give more info, i don't see how it's their fault.

DHL has always been great for me. cheaper than the other guys, yet far better service.

I hate it when I get the OMG WTF sticker on the door and I know I'm not going to be there during the delivery hours the next 2 days.

I usually just write them a note that I don't care what it says they have to do, just leave it on the porch. It's completely covered, and behind the house so you can't see it from the road. Plus I live in a tiny town where I'm not that concerned about people stealing it.

thats damn good turnaround, within a day or so they mailed me a box and got it back full of computer. not bad so far, gateway. but you still make shitty computers and made me beta test vista (more?) in order to keep my warranty so i still hate you

DHL overnight delivery takes anywhere from 3 to 7 days to get there.

If you send something 1day shipping it will probably get lost.

Is there really a comparison to be made here? UPS does 8x as many packages PER DAY. Therefore DHL should have FAR superior service... but it doesn't.
