that actually seems pretty reasonable- i mean, the only reason my parents didn't want me doing any of the things i did during highschool was not because they had personal feelings against it, but rather because it was against the law

I'd like to be able to bring a gun with me to most wherever I go. It's nice that you can do that in Texas.

I think you can also kill somebody if you're in your car and somebody is threatening you too... Texas has some very "free" gun laws... I have a mixed opinion on the rest of that...

From the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Code

§ 106.05 Possession of Alcohol by a Minor
(a) A minor commits an offense if they posses an alcoholic beverage.
(b) A minor may possess an alcoholic beverage:
• while in the course and scope of the minor’s employment if the minor is an employee of a licensee or permitted and the employment is not prohibited by this code
• if the minor is in the visible presence of his adult parent, guardian, or spouse, or other adult to whom the minor has been committed by a court
• if the minor is under the immediate supervision of a commissioned peace officer engaged in enforcing the provisions of this code.
(c) An offense under this section is punishable as provided by §106.071.

§ 106.06 Purchase / Furnishing of Alcohol to a Minor
(a) A person commits an offense if they provide an alcoholic beverage to a minor.
(b) An alcoholic beverage may be provided to a minor by that minor’s adult parent, legal guardian, or spouse if they are visibly present when the minor possesses or consumes the alcoholic beverage.
(c) An offense under this section is a Class B misdemeanor.

Doesn't define what a minor is, but I'm assuming in the Alcohol Code, it's anyone under 21.

texas doesnt have a state income tax(gonna miss that) but they get yah in property taxes.

usually we get into the 100s for a few weeks in the summer, but this summer we have had cooler temps than NC.(we had alot of rain)

I have seen parents bring their kids to the bar, but I have never seen them let their kids drink there. They mostly just have them mess around at the pool table while they are at the bar.
