So i was at the game yesterday. As FSU was deciding to go for it on 4th and 3 on our 20 with less than 2 minutes to go and up by 3 scores, of course the fans were going crazy and doing there fucking tomahawk chop for the 18,000th time that day.good to see bowden (:cough:amato:cough is still classy and willing to try to run up the score

yep, this thread was definently needed
10/7/2007 7:37:35 PM
who cares, i wish we could run up the score

ha, I wouldn't say that was running up the score. Chuck and bobby probably felt sorry for us and didn't want us to have another turnover.

I'm not exactly an unbiased source here, but I would hardly call that "running up the score." As I recall they handed it off up the middle for no gain, instead of kicking the easy field goal. They essentially just said, "here, take the ball."
10/7/2007 7:45:42 PM
I didn't interpret it as "running up the score" as much as just preventing us from getting the ball back.
10/7/2007 7:46:48 PM
patriots did the same thing today. just better to eat up the clock and not turn it over.
10/7/2007 7:50:08 PM
hell if they wanted to score again all they'd have to do is throw it up to carr and he's probably either catch it in the endzone or we'd get called for pass interference and they'd be closer.
10/7/2007 7:52:16 PM
dont be so butthurt we got our butts beatdont worry bout what FSU did they know how to win football games
10/7/2007 8:02:54 PM
They were 18 point favorites and were up by 17 at the time, so it mattered a lot more than most people thinkI was one of the fortunate ones
10/7/2007 8:07:11 PM
lol
10/7/2007 8:09:26 PM
^^exactlybut they were definitely trying to score, you don't call a timeout before 4th if you arent trying to score.
10/7/2007 8:25:50 PM
i'm sure the player was trying to scorebut the coaches did not call that play with intentions to score...
10/7/2007 8:28:21 PM
I counted the tomahawk cheer 38 different times throughout the game, which actually was less than their usual amount.

now speaking of classy, some of their fans were being major asshats even taunting the band and getting up in our faces trying to start shit but what would you expect...

you are able to tell a lot about people's knowledge of the game by what the post

^if you're talkin about me there's really nothing else to say about the actual game, and this thread was just for bitching and whining about FSU anywaysI mean yeah, we have a lot of injuries, we have little talent, more bad snaps than there ever should be, shitty punting, complete lack of an o-line giving no help to mediocre at best quarterbacks....so whateverthis season might as well be over[Edited on October 7, 2007 at 11:04 PM. i've never found FSU fans to be that intimidating. I was there in '01, '03, and this year. My roommate and I were wearing "Beat Florida State" shirts and we didn't really get much shit other than a few disapproving head-shakes and some boos. Singing "Weee know one song, onlyyyy one song" to the war chant was only fun the first 25 times they played it though. clemson & maryland fans are way more obnoxious/annoying in my experience.
10/8/2007 6:41:16 PM
well when you beat somebody twice they are going to get up for the game. the whole city was ready as if it were some type of big game or something.

Murdoc, I guess you didn't realize that i was adding my experience to the thread about this subject. If their fans had been mean to me, i probably would have posted about it here. So next time if you don't want to read about it, maybe you shouldn't open a thread with an obvious title pertaining to it, or read 25 posts about it, for that matter. I respect FSU's fans more than Maryland's fans or Clemson's fans, for example.
