Where can I go around here that won't have families or people all over. I want to go somewhere, pitch a tent and drink some beers. Ideas?

Excuse me for trying to be helpful. If you are looking for a place to get drunk, just stay in your apartment with the other 19 year olds.

Do most places actually ticket for drinking? I always thought as long as you kept it on the dl and didn't cause problems they didn't really care. The one or two times I've stayed at Falls Lake, there was nobody else there. And someone else had left some beer cans in our fire pit ...[Edited on October 5, 2007 at 1:09 PM. Reason : .]

you could just go out to Jordan Lake. There are several campgrounds there but since it is a state park, alcohol isn't allowed; however, they rarely give you problems unless you are loud and causing problems. Even then, the few people have seen get caught . . . they just make em dump it out. Shouldn't be busy this time of year either.I have seen em go to the couple of sites around a particular trash can when it is obvious there are a lot of empty bottles or cans in the trash. So you might want to take those out with you.[Edited on October 5, 2007 at 3:41 PM. Reason : ]

Alot of the homeless camp out behind dorothea dix, around centennial pwky. Don't go east of lake wheeler, because they get violent there. I've done some beer drinking camping between capital blvd and raleigh blvd, just south of 440. Park at the porn shop on capital and walk along a cleared path, before long you will see little trails leading off to the south that go to nice clearings. There is a paved jogging trail thru there, but it closes at 10 and it is quite far from any roads, so you won't get a visit from any cops.Of course neither of those two places would be "legal" for you to camp out at...[Edited on October 6, 2007 at 2:21 PM.
