10/3/2007 8:06:31 PM

10/3/2007 8:19:16 PM
Los Cazadores has a good vegetarian menu. Pearl can make anything with just veggies or tofu.Neomonde rules.any pizza place will have meatless pizzas, eggplant parm.subway has a veggie burger. so does burger king.french fry wrap at the wing place in mission valley...hold the bacon.etc etc
10/3/2007 8:22:46 PM
thanks. i dig the recommendations.
10/3/2007 8:38:28 PM
the veggie sampler plate at that ethiopian place is the bomb
10/3/2007 8:48:04 PM
^ I've always wanted to go there, but I've never been able to get anyone to go with me.There's also Baja Burrito in Mission Valley and Moe's in Cameron Village if you're looking for faster than sit-down and like Mexican. <3 Neomonde.
10/3/2007 8:53:46 PM
i've always wanted to try it, but i wouldnt want to go alone and most of the people i know just say "what do you eat, sticks and berries"
10/3/2007 8:59:16 PM
There's a place in Mission Valley that has Thai, I think. I can't remember what it's called, but it's on the top level and I believe it's Thai and some other kind of Asian cuisine together. It's good.
10/3/2007 9:04:01 PM
if you mean dalat, it's vietnamese, not thai[Edited on October 3, 2007 at 9:06 PM. Reason : the ethiopian place isn't bad--if you like ethiopian]
10/3/2007 9:05:30 PM
lily's pizza
10/3/2007 9:18:24 PM
i wouldn't take anybody you plan on seeing to the ethiopian place, they're going to wonder what's wrong with you - it's terrible, unless you enjoy food without taste, texture, or color, then it could be good i guessneomonde or dalat would be good choices
10/3/2007 9:18:36 PM
^ eh wrong? The Ethiopian place is good and comparable to other places ive been outside of the south. My bro is actually in Ethiopia right now and said the one in mission valley is pretty authentic.
10/3/2007 9:48:38 PM
i like that italian place near the harris teeter on buck jones
10/3/2007 10:40:04 PM
Neomonde is one of my favorite places and has all kinds of non-meat options. (I am not a vegetarian but I've had several meatless meals there myself...)I've only been to Dalat once, but it was pretty good. I don't know for certain whether or not they do take-out though. Closest Thai place I can think of is Sushi Thai in that shopping center off Lake Boone.

any good places to get falafel near campus?
10/4/2007 9:43:10 AM
Neomonde has it.
10/4/2007 9:50:09 AM
^Neomonde's falafel is gross. That place is awesome for everything else, best hummus in Raleigh. Nur Deli in Mission Valley is the only good falafel in Raleigh.I can't believe no one mentioned Royal India. The one on Capital is the best, but there is also one on Glenwood. Food is awesome, but service sucks at the Glenwood one.I also second Lilly's pizza. Tofu salad, pizza made on whole wheat crust, stuffed peppers, man I'm getting hungry. They have the best salads in Raleigh, btw.
10/4/2007 9:54:01 AM
India Mahal ftw
10/4/2007 6:31:29 PM
there was a time when tww ruled crazyfire with an iron fist....but they have take out.
10/4/2007 7:12:52 PM
^^ india mahal isnt worth the effort it takes to eat it bombay kitchen... now that is some good indian food also, raleigh-takeout delivers from king kabob, which is some decent indian food (not wonderful tho)
10/4/2007 9:25:46 PM
Fag restaurants

IF you can make it over to crossroads, go to sweet tomatoes, salad bar overload ftw.[Edited on October 5, 2007 at 7:28 AM. Reason : asdf]
10/5/2007 7:27:36 AM
10/5/2007 8:46:24 AM
^^Sweet Tomatoes is overpriced and their food is just slightly better than Golden Corral. Jason's Deli has a much better salad buffet. Heck, even Ruby Tuesday's salad bar is better than Sweet Tomatoes.
10/5/2007 9:51:27 AM
i love sweet tomatoes Mellow mushroom delivers (i think)
10/5/2007 10:44:41 AM
Yeah, Jason's Deli is amazing. But there isn't one too close, or at least not one that I know of.Charley's on Hillsborough has a good grilled veggie sub, but that's the only vegetarian choice.
10/5/2007 10:50:18 AM
Panera Bread
10/5/2007 11:36:26 AM
10/8/2007 11:17:15 AM
^ I wouldn't consider either of those places "close to campus."
10/8/2007 11:19:42 AM
I just tried the new Greek/Lebanese place on Hillsborough, Jasmin. It was pretty good and cheap.
10/30/2007 3:22:23 PM
10/30/2007 6:50:57 PM
10/30/2007 8:54:51 PM
Best take out for people who don't eat much meat?I'd say probably meat, since they aren't getting enough of it.
10/30/2007 9:51:01 PM
rofl
10/30/2007 9:51:43 PM
a meatasaurus rex!!!!!!!!!!!
10/30/2007 10:19:22 PM
gay ass veggie folks
10/30/2007 10:43:50 PM
ethiopian place @ mission valleyneomonde lily's whole food bar
10/31/2007 2:24:00 AM
bear rock has a bitchin' veggie sandwich on sunflower bread, with sun-dried tomato spread; lots of asian places; mellow mushroom; lily's; whole foods salad/hot bar; sweet tomatoes; cafe carolina's greek salad is awesome...neomonde is really greasy and not very healthy, but delicious if you love explosive diarrhea and nasty ass baba ghannouj. it tastes like old shoes.
10/31/2007 3:05:25 AM
indian food...always is good as leftovers mmm
10/31/2007 11:59:30 AM
for thai:i always go to Viva Thai at the corner of chatham and maynard.head down western blvd toward k-mart, keep going, go past wolf creek and all that shitright near the railroad tracks on maynard, you'll see a shopping centerit's right in therethat shit is gooood. i go there at LEAST once a week.
10/31/2007 12:10:55 PM
red dragon (right by the corner of fairview and oberlin) --- NOT to be confused with golden dragon.also, neomonde is recommended. i just ate at jasmin's on hillsborough (the new place where raleigh joe's/q shack used to be) and i was very pleasantly surprised.
10/31/2007 12:23:11 PM
