I just got these today. Apparently I have the weirdest shaped ears on the planet because these are supposed to fit everyone, but I can't get them to stay in my ears for more than 3 seconds without falling out. Anyway, my freakishly shaped ears are your gain. MSRP on these are $110. They still sell in stores for $100. Cheapest I could find online was $78 shipped. Anywho, these are brand new right out of the box, only used for about 3 minutes. They still have the full 2 year warranty if anything craps out on them. Included is all the original packaging, the carrying case, and all the plastic molding dohickies. http://www.shure.com/PersonalAudio/Products/Earphones/ESeries/us_pa_E2c_contentSound Isolating TechnologyThe E2c's in ear design works like an earplug to block background noise naturally. This enables you to listen comfortably at lower volumes -- even in loud environments. And unlike bulky headphones utilizing active noise cancellation technology, no artifacts are introduced into your listening experience. Sound isolating earphones are also much smaller and don't require batteries. Speaker Type: Dynamic MicroDriversThe E2c's speakers are constructed with studio-grade components, producing outstanding audio clarity that allows you to hear your music like never before. Personal Fit KitBecause every ear is different, E2c Earphones come with three pairs (small, medium, large) of disposable Foam Sleeves, and three pairs (small, medium, large) of Flex Sleeves to ensure the ideal personalized fit. Secure In Ear DesignThe soft, flexible sleeves in the Fit Kit gently contour the inside of the ear for a comfortable, secure fit so that the earphones don't fall out while you're exercising. Low-Profile Earphone CablesThe E2c's cables pass behind the ear - out of sight and out of the way -- to provide a more comfortable, discreet fit. Lightweight ConstructionWeighing only 1 oz (30g), the E2c is lightweight and comfortable enough for any portable listening application -- packing a big punch in such a compact package. Earphones Carrying CaseThe E2c comes with a stylish, compact carrying case. The cable spool inside provides a convenient, tangle-free way to store your earphones. Two-Year Limited WarrantyEvery E2c purchased comes with a two-year limited warranty on materials and workmanship]

They are good headphones... a bit of earwax isn't going to kill you. Plus, that's what rubbing alcohol is for.

I need to ask.I have a pr of V-Moda bass response earphones..Nice sound..but I have been curious about these earphones. How would people here, who have used the E2c's rate sound isolation, bass response and the overall studio quality of the sound? And would you consider the E3's to be a major or minor improvement?

^ I have the E3's...they are much better than the E2's...but not if you like bass...

i've listened through both the E2cs that i have now and a pair of E3'syou can get them both to sound about the same if you EQ itwithout any processing whatsoever, though:E2cs: more bass, highs sound a little tinnier, not quite as much mid, but sound pretty much as good/accurate as my studio monitorsE3s: less bass unless you SHOVE them into your ear, balanced mid/highs, a little better than the 2's but they're both pretty comparable.

How well do these stay in your ears? Do they fall out if you run/work out?

^ I've had a pair of the E2c's for 3+ years now, and I use them all the time at the gym. Mine always stay in with no problems, I have an armband ipod holder, and I just wrap the excess cord around that, and it works out great. And I highly recommend Shure's customer service, mine broke from daily overuse over the 2 year mark, sent mine in and they shipped me a new pair no questions asked, without receipt
