might help if you have a myspace or recordings or an example of your style...people's perception of metal is so broad these days its almost impossible to know what kind of band you are by just saying metal

let me try
10/2/2007 7:20:33 PM
Yeah, what style of metal?

yea i have recordings but there not on myspace yet... if you would compare our style it would have to match up with as i lay dying or august burns red with a little lamb of god.

vocalist in a metal band? interesting...i always thought you just scream nonsense into a mic.
10/3/2007 3:09:29 AM
^think again, sucka
10/3/2007 6:41:33 AM
^^ lol.some of my favorite vocalists and lyricists have been metal vocalists so [no]
10/3/2007 7:18:10 AM
^^^ You've got it all wrong. They just have to growl into a mic.
10/3/2007 8:17:42 AM
POOOOOOOOOOWEEEEEEEERRRRRRRR METAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!
10/3/2007 8:19:39 AM
Mikael Ã…kerfeldt is the greatest vocalist ever.also, kick out one of your guitarists and invite me, i don't have anything to do.besides you don't need bassists if you just tune your guitars low enough [Edited on October 3, 2007 at 10:15 AM. Reason : bassists]

^haha. not true tho! check out some of the new BTBAM songs. having a phenomenal bass player really adds a dimension to metal that most metal bands dont utilize. and when done correctly the depth of the music really shines above others
10/3/2007 11:40:28 AM
yea your kinda right about not needing a bass player because we play in drop c but alot of the leads we do require some kind of rhythm especially to help out the drummer.
10/3/2007 2:35:01 PM
i like melodic metal
10/3/2007 2:39:58 PM
^^ dont go without a bass player. we play in full out C standard (lower than your drop C) and the difference with or without a bass player is huge live. and if you can find and exceptionally talented bass player, the difference between no bass or a good bassist on a recording is even bigger.[Edited on October 3, 2007 at 2:46 PM. Reason : ]

yea thats the problem we had a bass player but he couldnt handle the changes and the speed so we kinda had to get rid of him and we pretty much just used the vocalist for his pa cause he wasnt that good.if there are any serious bass players out there or vocalist let me know and we can try you out.

i play a mean cello, and at one time played stand up bass a little, but never electric
10/3/2007 2:53:34 PM
i want to have a cello on a song on our full length..if we ever get around to writing more of it and recording it it will be a ways off in '08 but ill keep that in mind
10/3/2007 2:55:45 PM
i mean i was being sarcastic. bands that tune to B or A still have bass players. On the other hand Electro Quaterstaff?
10/3/2007 6:37:46 PM
well dont get me wrong there are some good shred bands that dont have bass players. but at the same time i still think they would all sound better with a good bass player
