Why? I'll have a pillar candle the width of large 7-11 supersize slurpee cup, that burns only the middle and about the width of a carrot.

It's a candle warmer. It heats up the wax, releasing the aroma but not burning the wax or wick away.

you put the candle underneath and some sort of scented oil in the cup on top, heats up, smells up the joint

if it is small enough to put in what you posted then put it in the little bowl, and put a tea candle underneath. The tea candle heats up the stone bowl which melts the wax.


the only thing i dont like about those types are the tea candles burn too quickly.



add: if you have a big block of wax in a glass jar, much like a yankee candle, you will need to get one of those heat plates.

If you blew it out too soon the first time you lit it, that might have caused it to only burn down in the area where the wax melted before. You should let it burn to the edges the first time you use it. Well, really every time you use it, or else it'll cause the wax to be lower where it was burned and it will only burn that far in the future.

when i worked at the bath and body works/white barn candle company in crabtree mall...the woman there said make sure you cut your wicks to 1/4th of an inch and also make sure you burn it for like at least 4 hours to help it burn properly
