I can't swear in the title but it should read: Fuckers can't shit the bed any worse than 2007.You guys can shift the trolling over to this thread if you'd like. Or just keep spamming my inbox. Either way, it's good...Playoffs are essential or Minaya/Randolph are gone.[Edited on October 1, 2007 at 3:22 PM. Reason : 2007 one should be locked soon.. troll here.]

What makes you so sure they will be back to try and make the playoffs?
10/1/2007 3:23:24 PM
the nl east will be the most competitive division in baseball in 2008i know we're a long way from opening day and there's sure to be some shakeups in the offseason, but i have no idea whether the phillies, mets, or braves will come out on topshould be excitingwith that said, the mets are gaylords
10/1/2007 3:23:42 PM
i laughed
10/1/2007 3:25:33 PM
well on the bright side, theres no way you can have as big a collapse down the stretech in 2008...or can you?it'd also be kind of funny if the phillies got swept in the first round[Edited on October 1, 2007 at 3:26 PM. Reason : .]

I hope this thread is as fun as your 2007 thread turned out to be!

lol @ the 2007 collapse
10/1/2007 5:01:35 PM
The NL East will be awesome next year. Best display of young hitting talent in all of baseball. The pitching will still be meh, but man look at the list of young stars:Howard (I know he's not that young), Utley, Wright, Reyes, McCann, Franceour, Hanley Ramirez, and Cabrera are all All Star players right now. Not mention guys like Milledge, Escobar, Hermida, etc that could break out next year.I hope the Mets suck donkey balls though...
10/1/2007 5:33:06 PM
can we get a pool going on milledge's first felony indictment?
10/1/2007 5:34:27 PM
here's to another trainwreck in 2008!
10/1/2007 7:01:02 PM
so because they shit the bed this year they are destined for success next year?reyes can not repeat, your rotation is getting older and nobody believes in you
10/1/2007 7:25:36 PM
i thought you were supposed to be suspended.
10/1/2007 7:31:52 PM
I cant believe you requested to have the 2007 thread locked, only to then start this thread. What a bitch move. It's like the LOST thread, or the Panthers thread...you cant start a new one until it's actually about to start. There is plenty to talk about in regards to the 2007 season, including the fallout from the choke.Beardawg really screwed you by saying that you requested to have it locked.LOL.
10/1/2007 7:37:51 PM
i'm pretty sure 2007 is over
10/1/2007 7:47:25 PM
lol, by a day. It's one thing to create a new 2008 thread, but to ask for the 2007 one to be locked is a bit absurd.
10/1/2007 7:54:38 PM
I say the 2007 thread should be retired to the thread hall of fame .. we need a HOF for sports talk threads.

That kind of collapse can (not saying it will but can) shake the core of a team. We will see what the Mets are made of....They will either rally as a team and show everyone they are worth something.....or go in the tank in 2008.....my guess is Tank city ha haOh and everyone knows there is really only one team in New York The New York Yankees !!!!![Edited on October 2, 2007 at 1:57 PM. I am a huge Mets fan from NY and all I can say is that Omar will make sure the team has a completely different look next year. Lo Duca and Green will be gone. I'm not sure if its worth the risk to pick up Glavine's option given his meltdown down the stretch. Mota, Schoeneweis, Heilman will all be gone. Delgado may be traded; however, his stock is so low at this point that it may cost us more to move him than to keep him. Pretty much look for the Mets this offseason to sign a pricey catcher and outfielder; to rebuild the entire bullpen with risky young arms and tired old vets; and to sign at least 1 high priced starting pitcher that busts. The good news for Mets fans is that the Braves will undergo similar changes; the Marlins and Nationals still will not be good for another 3 years; and the Phillies have a lot of free agents.

THE HOMOSEXUALITY EXHIBITED BY A CERTAIN METS FAN ON THIS BOARD SHOULD BE DOUSED IN GASOLINE AND FLAMED FOR MONTHS[Edited on October 2, 2007 at 2:33 PM. Reason : ]

I think it's funny that a team has to announce that their manager will be back next year. lol
10/2/2007 8:12:02 PM
It's New York...This honestly probably made 90% of the country's sports year. Seeing a NYC team spit the bit... I'm actually shocked at how hated the Mets are across the country. They've only been a good organization for the last 3 years really... not like the Yankees who always win.[Edited on October 2, 2007 at 8:53 PM. Reason : x]

how awesome is it that kaz matsui is ballin in the postseason and jose reyes is sitting at home?
10/15/2007 8:45:17 PM
Gotta love ESPN... "Is there one NL team that could have battled the Red Sox?" "Yes, the Mets, if they could have stayed healthy, could have absolutely matched the Red Sox."Excuse me while I go puke, again.
10/28/2007 11:26:24 PM
Figured I'd fire up the Hot Stove League.Mets exercised the '08 option Alou and re-signed veteran Damion Easley off the bench. Bench already looking good with Easley, Castro, Chavez and Gotay all under control. Just gotta re up with Marlon Anderson and we'll be set in that respect.NOW BRING HOME AROD TO HIS CHILDHOOD TEAM OMAR.[Edited on October 31, 2007 at 4:04 PM. Reason : x]

i still don't see it happeningbut if minaya can pull it off, it'll definitely show that the mets are committed...to choking

Thanks for the draftpicks Tommy...

mets traded mota for johnny estradalet's hope this happens again:--also, does anyone remember when he was ejected by doug eddings?that was one of the weirdest things i've ever seenhttp://dougeddingsisadouche.blogspot.comhttp://www.firedoug.com/otherdougs.htmaha[Edited on November 20, 2007 at 9:38 PM. What the flying fuck, Omar? Go fuck yourself...Did you seriously trade Milledge for Ryan Church and Brian Schneider.Abort yourself, fucker...[Edited on November 30, 2007 at 1:27 PM. Reason : he reads tww]
11/30/2007 1:26:50 PM
seriously? they traded for Estrada?? ahahaha that would have been an AWESOME trade for the mets like 3 years ago. Johnny hasn't been the same since that hit he took.
11/30/2007 1:28:39 PM
Why not? They got rid of Mota in the deal. It's a win. From what I gather the Mets are trying to build up players to make a deal for Bedard. 1050AM out of NYC said that the Orioles and Mets are in SERIOUS talks to try and get a deal to happen. I know the Orioles had interest in Church in the past and REALLY like Gomez... It would be interesting to see if they can get something done. This would salvage an otherwise trainwreck of a trade with Millege..
11/30/2007 1:46:18 PM
It'll be awesome when Estrada gets on base hitting in the 8 hole and is on first when Reyes come up and hits one in the gap. Reyes will probably pass Estrada 1/4 of the way to 2nd.
11/30/2007 2:26:15 PM
why the hell anyone would go out of their way to get/want Ryan Church is beyond me. isn't he pushing 30 years old?
11/30/2007 5:57:04 PM
i've heard that the orioles are completely against trading bedardeither way, if the mets aren't including a catcher in the deal, what are they going to do with three 31-year old below-average backstops?
11/30/2007 7:38:32 PM
Slavs and Polacks
