Be prepared to write. A lot. There is very little math involved, basically all theory. The book doesn't help you at all, so basically study any notes you've taken thus far. He's really generous with grading though, so as long as you're close, he'll give you credit.

Talk about slaughtering pigs and you'll do fine.

I'm in the class now and was wondering the same thing. We dont really do much in there so I am kinda worried about the midterm.

Don't worry about it. Looking big picture, it doesn't really matter. Those stupid 5 point homework assignments from eVal are a big deal, and he puts a lot of emphasis on your major project at the end of the year. (ps, start on that as soon as you can, believe me it'll pay off in the end). Also, he gives a lot of consideration to those that have been to class and ask questions. The man has a memory like you won't believe.

Does anybody have any of the old tests to study by?

well he must have changed the format because he said its 2 problems and then 25 mc

Then he definitely changed the format - the test I took in his class last semester didn't have anything even resembling multiple choice

does anybody have any idea of what exactly to study? I'm looking at all teh powerpoints and ntoes but im pretty lost as to what exactly we are supposed to know.

so it seemed like 75% of the class turned in the test or wasnt finished by 1225...he said he'll take that into account
