i've been using editplus for years.

i'm sure every person in this thread will passionately stand behind their editor of choice and every person will use a different one. there's many full-featured editors out there, doesn't matter which one you choose.

i used to use Crimson Editor for latex when i was in college

I have been using slickedit for a some time now (in college and at work). It is the best editor ever!
I haven't used it for tex, but i know it supports tex files too.

while I'm sure some people will scream "overkill", I use eclipse with the following plugin to write my LaTeX documents:

Fully functional TeX editor + CVS support FTW
